Leaves and pine cones make great place cards too, as do miniature pumpkins. Once again, you might choose to add a little sparkle by spraying these with gold or silver paint or glitter. There’s nothing quite as quirky as a miniature gold pumpkin!

Equally, you might choose a more traditional style that is decorated with sugar blooms to reflect your colour scheme. And, of course, autumn is the time to serve a stunning chocolate creation. It’s unlikely to melt at this time of year and it’s sure to be popular with your guests.
